The Member Counties have identified the following strategic pillars that will form the core focus of their collaboration and regional integration:
- Livestock and Agriculture Management;
- Trade, Industry and Tourism Promotion;
- Infrastructure Development; and
- Water & Resource Management.
In addition to the four strategic pillars enumerated in paragraph 1 of this Article, the Member Counties have identified the following as enabling pillars to support the attainment of the four strategic pillars:
- Finance and Economic Planning;
- Universal Healthcare;
- Education and Skills Development; and
- Security
The Governing Council may adopt new or revise the core or enabling strategic pillars to further enhance the effectiveness of the CPD.
